BUTLER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Four fire departments were called in Thursday morning to battle a structure fire just south of the Butler Motor Speedway.
The fire in the 900 block of Clarendon Road was reported at 5:14 a.m. which marked the second straight early morning there was a structure fire in Branch County.
Quincy firefighters were initially dispatched. They received automatic mutual aid from the Coldwater Fire Department.
Assistance was later requested from the Litchfield and Homer Fire Departments.
Traffic on Clarendon Road was shut down between Crandall and Butler Roads for almost two hours.
The stubborn fire was declared out at 7:51 a.m..
Thursday’s blaze was also the fourth structure fire for the Coldwater Fire Department in the last week.
