KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – It took firefighters almost an hour to get a structure fire about a mile north of the Michigan-Indiana state line under control late Thursday afternoon.
The blaze which took place in a structure described as a large barn took place on the Todd Stukey property at 749 Quimby Road. It was reported at 4:27 p.m..
Lakeland firefighters were initially dispatched. They received mutual aid from the Fremont, Indiana Fire Department.
Smoke from the fire could be seen for several miles.
The fire was called under control at 5:32 p.m.. Crews were on the scene until 7:09 p.m..
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is not known.
