CHELSEA, MI (WTVB) – The Interstate 8 champion Pennfield Panthers are through to the semifinals in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Tournament.
Pennfield continued their magical season Tuesday night as they defeated Romulus Summit Academy 54-49 in the Division Two quarterfinals at Chelsea.
The Panthers advanced to face Bridgeport in Thursday’s semifinals at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids starting at 5:30 p.m..
After winning the regional tournament at Bronson last week, Schoolcraft advanced with a 59-47 win over Grand Rapids Covenant Christian in the Division Three quarterfinals at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix. The Eagles will face Iron Mountain in Thursday’s semifinals at the Breslin Center starting at 12:30 p.m..
The girls semifinals will be held on Wednesday at both the Breslin Center and Van Andel Arena
