BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – While some local government boards have gone back to in person meetings, others have chosen to stay virtual for now.
Bronson City Manager Brandon Mersman says the Bronson City Council will meet in person at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday evening since the forecast is calling for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s.
The City Council held in person meetings several times last year in the pavilion before the cold weather forced them to go back to virtual meetings.
Because of the social distancing and COVID-19 protocols that must be in place, the Council Chambers in Bronson City Hall can not hold an in person meeting because it’s to small.
The Coldwater City Council will meet virtually Monday evening but they have decided to discuss going back to in person meetings.
The Quincy Town Council returned to in person meetings last month with social distancing and COVID-19 protocols in place.
The Branch County Board of Commissioners are continuing to meet virtually via Zoom. There is no indication as to when they might go back to in person meetings. The Commissioners have not had an in person meeting since March 10, 2020.
