COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners gave formal approval on Tuesday to the Sheriff’s Department selling a 1995 Four Winds Boat.
The 26-year-old boat is being sold as a new 2021 boat has been ordered for the Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol.
It’s estimated the cost to fix the steering and hydraulics on the Four Winds Boat would be between $4,500 and $5,000. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the boat in its current state is worth between $7,000 and $8,500.
Sheriff John Pollack said during the Commissioners work session two weeks ago they hope to sell it locally.
The money received from the sale will be put towards the cost of the new boat.
