COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s boys golf team opened the season with a tenth place finish on Friday in their 21 team Coldwater Cardinal Invitational at the Coldwater Golf Course.
East Grand Rapids won the tournament shooting a team score of 319 closely followed by Portage Northern which had a 321. Coldwater had a 377.
Quincy was also in the event and they ended up in 15th place with a 398 score.
Coldwater was led by Jett Galloway who shot a 79 which was good enough for a tie for 4th place.
Kyle Sheppard had a 93, Talon Eberts shot a 99, Brady Arver had a 105, Koletin Aldinger shot a 110, Blaike Kelley carded a 113 and Steven Covell rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 123.
Coldwater’s Varsity will travel to Binder Park in Battle Creek on Tuesday to play in the first I – 8 Jamboree hosted by Harper Creek.
