Suzanne Elaine “Suzy” Cooper, 71, of Quincy passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at her home with by her loving family.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Oak Grove Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Shayne Looper of Lockwood Community Church officiating.
Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon, at the Oak Grove Cemetery Chapel. Interment will follow.
The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Suzanne was born July 19, 1949 to Robert and Veronica (Charley) Cooper in Detroit. She was a special needs child, spending her entire life living with her loving family. Suzy was part of Adapt for over 25 years.
She liked many different things, but playing cards and Rubix cube were two of her favorites. Suzy was a big fan of watching I Love Lucy, Little House on the Prairie, and the Andy Griffith Show, along with many other programs.
She will be remembered as always smiling, wanting to hold hands with family & friends, and her sense of humor. Suzy was very fond of all babies and pets, especially the loving family dog “Bella”. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Suzanne is survived by her siblings Joe (Kay) VanDosen of Brimley, MI, JoAnn Poynter of Coldwater, Mary Ann (Ray) Cook of Quincy, Rob (Janice) Cooper of Coldwater, and Patricia (Todd) Johnson of Litchfield; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and the loving family dog “Bella.” The family would like to thank her care givers Jon Cook, Debbie Loomis and Marcia Baze for all their compassion and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Don VanDosen; her sister Marilyn (Norman) Gibson and her brother-in-law Rick Poynter.
