PARMA, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater track teams were swept by Parma Western in an Interstate 8 dual meet on Monday as the Panthers won the boys meet 113-48 and the girls meet 103-60.
The meet was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was pushed back 24 hours because of an inclement weather forecast.
Coldwater winners in the boys meet were Myron Lafty in the 800 and 1,600; John Aerts in the 3,200, Kenny Cramer in the shot put and Hunter Munson in the long jump. The team of James DeWitt, Haroon Omar, Eduardo Arroyo and Ethan Woodcox won the 3,200 relay.
Finishing first for Coldwater in the girls meet were Chloe Schaale in the 100, Anna Demeester in the 200 and Makayla Yuhas-Jones in the long jump. Coldwater won a pair of relay races. The team of Schaale, Yuhas-Jones, Jatziri Martinez and Demeester won the 400 relay while Sarah Forrister, Jaelah Sloan, Allison Miller and Claudia Rivera-Rodriguez teamed up to win the 800 relay.
