MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals dropped their Interstate 8 opener on Monday as they were beaten by the Marshall Red Hawks 7-4 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader at Marshall.
The second game was suspended by darkness after four innings with the score tied 6-6.
The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved ahead 24 hours due to the weather forecast calling for snow.
Cole Heineman and Brynden Massey both had RBI’s while Nate Tappenden had a double. The loss dropped Coldwater’s record to 5-2.
