COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Nurse at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has been honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses ®.
The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care they provide patients and families every day.
Autumn McCormick, RN, BSN from the surgical pediatric unit is being recognized for her excellent work with patients.
She will be celebrating her third year anniversary of working for ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital in August.
Her nominator said, “Autumn is an excellent nurse; not only is she knowledgeable, but is always kind and compassionate to both her patients and her co-workers. Autumn has excellent teamwork and is willing to assist other without any complaints. She always strives to be an advocate for her patients.”
The DAISY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family.
Nurses may be nominated by patients, families, and colleagues. The award recipient is chosen by a committee at PCRH.
Each Honoree receives a certificate commending her or him as an “Extraordinary Nurse.” Honorees also receive a DAISY Award pin and a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe.
