MARSHALL, MI (WTVB AM/FM) – The Coldwater High School girls varsity and junior varsity soccer teams were both beaten by Marshall Friday night, each losing by identical 6-0 scores.
The varsity contest was scoreless until 13 minutes left in the first half, then Marshall scored another two goals in the last three minutes of the first half to take a 3-0 halftime lead.
Marshall scored three more in the second half, with the last 16 minutes of the game remaining scoreless.
Taylor Robinson made 10 saves in goal for the Lady Cardinals.
With the loss, the Coldwater varsity team falls to 1-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 3-4 overall. They will play in non-conference action at Adrian Monday afternoon.
The junior varsity team is now 0-1 in the conference and 1-2 overall.
