COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Corner Farmers Market will be returning to downtown Coldwater this summer.
The Coldwater City Council is scheduled to approve a request on Monday night from the Corner Farmers Market Volunteers to operate in the northwest corner of the 4 Corners Park each Saturday from June 26 until September 11.
Including the time to set up and tear down, the northwest corner would be used between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
It’s estimated between 500 and 1,000 persons attend weekly.
The Farmers Market was held last summer at the south end of the AYSO Creal Soccer Complex parking lot due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic and anticipated construction in the 4 Corners Park.
The land at the corner of North Marshall and State Streets is owned by Coldwater Township, but leased to the local AYSO organization for their soccer complex.
The Michigan Farmers Market Association put out guidelines for farmers markets to follow last summer.
