BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson will be flushing its fire hydrants on Monday, May 3 and on Tuesday, May 4 as part of regular routine water main cleaning,
The flushing will begin 12:01 a.m. on Monday morning May 3 for those north of U.S. 12. Flushing will then take place on south side of U.S. 12 on Tuesday morning May 4 at 12:01 a.m..
The City of Bronson apologizes for any inconveniences the flushing may cause.
On occasion, the water in the areas of flushing may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance as flushing can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration. If this occurs, you’re asked to run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines.
The City advises the public to refrain from doing laundry during the two days the flushing will be taking place.
