COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Quincy Township man entered guilty pleas to pair of charges on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he was charged with ten counts in the fall of 2019.
30-year old Michael Booher is scheduled to be sentenced June 14 on charges of malicious destruction of property between $200 and $1,000 and aggravated assault.
Booher will have to pay $2,100 in restitution in the M.D.O.P. case as part of the plea agreement. Eight other charges in the two cases would also be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty pleas.
According to court documents, a domestic situation led to the series of events in September of 2019.
Booher was stopped by police while he was in his vehicle on U.S. 12 near Quincy Grange Road.
He managed to slip away during the traffic stop but he was taken into custody a short time later after being chased by a State Police Trooper and a D.N.R. officer.
