COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Corner Farmer’s Market returning to downtown Coldwater this summer, the Downtown Development Authority Board approved a sponsorship donation of $1,000 to the volunteer group on Wednesday morning.
Luke Bovee from the Farmer’s Market Committee says they are about ready to enter their seventh market year and are looking forward to making it the best yet.
The Farmer’s Market had to be moved from downtown to the north side of Coldwater last summer in order to accommodate COVID-19 protocols
The D.D.A. has previously donated $1,000 to the Farmer’s Market in 2018 and 2019 but not last year since it was not held downtown. Bovee said the Farmer’s Market Committee which is made up of volunteers survives thanks to donations like the ones made by the D.D.A..
The committee plans to make adjustments that will help protect the health and safety of vendors and shoppers as the Corner Farmers Market will operate in the northwest corner of the 4 Corners Park each Saturday from June 26 until September 11..
