COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater dropped both games of a Interstate 8 girls softball doubleheader to Parma Western on Tuesday by scores of 4-3 and 14-1.
Coldwater scored three times in the last of the fourth to tie the opening game but the Panthers got what proved to be the winning run in the fifth. Alexis Bills had three hits including a triple and a RBI in the opening game. Jayla Foster and Karlie Knisley also had RBI’s.
Things fell apart for Coldwater in the second game as they committed eight errors. After Coldwater got a run in the last of the first, the Panthers scored five runs in the second and seven more in the third. Mia Rzepka had a double and a triple in the nightcap.
Parma Western also swept the J.V. doubleheader by scores of 12-2 and 17-2.
