FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan State Police and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office are trying to find the persons responsible for tampering with the mail at several locations.
Deputies and troopers responded on Monday to the area of Mintdale Road near Burg Road after mail from throughout the area was found in the road.
It appeared the mail was taken from mailboxes in Florence, Sherman and White Pigeon Townships.
Many of the envelopes had been opened and the contents were removed.
The recovered mail was turned over to the White Pigeon Post Office.
Anyone with information is requested to contact the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office or Michigan State Police. You are also asked to dial 911 if you see suspicious activity.
