HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office has announced they are looking for full and part time Correction Officers.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance is offered to all full time employees. Full time employees are also enrolled in a MERS defined contribution plan.
The Sheriff’s Office in Hillsdale County has a step increase wage scale. The starting wage is $16.62 with a top wage of $24.67 at four years of employment.
Benefits also include vacation days, personal business days, sick days and holiday pay. After two years of full time employment there is a possibility of sponsorship to the police academy.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completing the Michigan Sheriff’s Association Coordination and Training Test (which can be done on the Michigan Sheriff’s Association website at www.misctc.org), and you must be at least 18 years of age.
