COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Renovations at the Four Corners Park in downtown Coldwater began on Tuesday.
The first job was the removal of trees and memorials in the northeast and southeast corners.
The work will include the installation of new brick and concrete surfaces, a masonry Veterans Memorial Wall, columns, and electrical service improvements. Other improvements will include new lighting.
The memorials being removed from the park will be reinstalled as the work is finished. The City will also provide and install all site furnishings.
Renovating the Four Corners Park has been discussed for almost a decade. The last renovation took place in the early 1970’s as part of urban renewal.
The park will be open for Strawberry Fest with additional renovations to follow.
Construction is expected to wrap up before Apple Fest in September.
