BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson will get a Drinking Water Asset Management grant of over $469,000 from the State of Michigan as part of the MI Clean Water plan.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the grants for various Michigan communities on Tuesday which are designed to strengthen drinking water infrastructure.
More than $5 million in funding will assist state efforts to support local projects that improve drinking water systems.
Those improvements include replacing lead service lines, enhancing water affordability plans and connecting homes with contaminated drinking water wells to safe community water supplies.
The MI Clean Water plan is a $500 million investment announced by Governor Whitmer in October to rebuild the state’s water infrastructure.
