COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners are scheduled on Tuesday to vote on a resolution which opposes Michigan Secretary of State Jocelynn Benson’s “appointment only” service plan at branch offices.
Benson wants to make appointments permanent. She says the old way of walking in and taking a number was “antiquated and inefficient” and that nobody liked it.
Commissioner Jon Houtz said during Thursday’s work session the appointment system was a hassle.
A resolution passed recently by Commissioners in Chippewa County which opposes Benson’s plan was presented to Branch County Commissioners on Thursday for their review.
