Otto Lee Fields, Sr., 65, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case of California Community Church officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Otto was born November 9, 1955 to Arthur and Patricia (Waite) Fields in Coldwater. He was a hardworking man, traveling to Texas and Louisiana for work before settling back in Coldwater to be closer to his family. On January 15, 1973 he married the love of his life, Debra Thoms. Together they made many memories.
Otto enjoyed many things, but fishing and playing bingo were amongst his favorites. He was fond of birds as pets. Otto will be remembered for his loving and caring personality. His true joy in life was being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Otto is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debra Fields of Coldwater; his children Debbie Fields of Bronson, Amey (James) Scherer of Coldwater, Otto Fields, Jr. of Girard, and Brian Fields of Quincy; his brother Coy Fields of Coldwater; 13 grand and 10 great grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
