(BRANCH COUNTY, MI) (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings saw their season come to an end on Wednesday evening as they were beaten by the Schoolcraft Eagles 9-0 in the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three baseball regional semifinals at Centreville.
Reagan Mayer’s triple was one four hits the Vikings were able to collect off Schoolcraft pitcher Fisher Holmes who went the distance for the win.
The Vikings finished the season with a record of 14-20.
Meanwhile, three of the four teams who will be trying to win Division Two regional titles at Pat Lowe Field in Coldwater this Saturday have been determined. One of the teams will be the Marshall Red Hawks after the Interstate 8 champs defeated Vicksburg in the regional semifinals on Wednesday 2-0.
Marshall will face Grand Rapids South Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday for one of the regional titles that will be up for grabs.
The second regional championship game at 12:30 p.m. will feature Stevensville-Lakeshore against either Grand Rapids Christian or Hamilton.
The two regional winners will play each other in a state quarterfinal game at Lowe Field at 3:00 p.m..
Colon is through to the Division Four regional finals after the Magi defeated Pittsford 8-4 on Wednesday.
The Magi will play Kalamazoo Hackett for a regional crown in Decatur on Saturday with the winner facing either Concord or Three Oaks River Valley in the state quarterfinals.
