OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A teenager was injured late Thursday morning in a water skiing accident on East Long Lake.
The youngster, who was reported to be 17-year-old boy, suffered a laceration to the forehead.
D.N.R. Officer Nick Wellman says the teen was being pulled by a boat when he fell forward and caught his forehead on the front of one of his skis.
The teen was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.
Wellman says it was a accident and no one was cited.
The accident was initially dispatched at 11:23 a.m.. Lakeland firefighters and Life Care Ambulance were also sent to the scene off of Volkmer Road.
