COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The second annual Hops on Monroe event series returns to Downtown Coldwater next Thursday night, July 1.
Unlike in 2020, there will be no capacity limits since many of the COVID-19 restrictions in Michigan have been lifted. Hops on Monroe is one of the few local events that took place last year.
The weekly event will take place on South Monroe Street between U.S. 12 and West Pearl every Thursday night until September 2 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m..
Coldwater’s Economic Development Coordinator Audrey Tappenden told the Downtown Development Authority Board on Wednesday there will be a few changes this year.
Second Story Marketing in Coldwater has teamed with the city in promoting Hops on Monroe.
They say entertainment throughout the summer will include Jake Mellema, Mike Dougherty, Jacob Mayer, Deuces, Delbert Walling, Jim Weber & Erica Lee, Scotty Butters, and Brent Cole.
Bella Stock Floral (formerly Hitch and Pedal) will be setting up their flower trailer every other week beginning July 8.
Entry for the event will be located in the alleyway next to Southern Roots Salon & Spa. This event is free to attend, but additional purchases may be made for beer tickets and food trucks. Attendees who wish to drink alcoholic beverages need to provide their ID to receive a wristband to purchase alcohol.
