BETHEL TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two vehicle crash near Bronson late Wednesday morning which injured a Bronson Post Office mail carrier.
58-year-old Mary Vallance of Bronson was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for non-life threatening injuries following the crash at U.S. 12 and Parham Road which was reported at 11:13 a.m..
Undersheriff Keith Eichler says in a news release from the Sheriff’s Office that 26-year-old Marsha Cripps of Sturgis was heading south on Parham Road and allegedly failed to yield as she pulled onto U.S. 12. She was then struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Vallance.
Cripps was taken by a private vehicle to Sturgis Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There was a minor child in the Cripps vehicle who escaped serious injuries.
Bronson Police, the Bronson Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance were also called to the scene.
The intersection had to be closed to traffic as the crash was cleaned up and the accident investigated.
