Gary Lee Knirk, 69, of Marshall, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. He was born July 24, 1951 in Coldwater to Howard and Frances (Lippert) Knirk. Gary married Janet Rodgers on December 8, 1978 and she survives.
Gary graduated from Quincy High School in 1969 and went on to attend Highlands University in New Mexico. He worked as an engineer and was also Sr. Value Management Engineer for Delta Faucet and Director of Operations for H&H Tube. He enjoyed bike riding, playing the clarinet with the Straits Area Concert Band, working with technology and listening to classical music.
In addition to his wife Janet, Gary is survived by his daughters, Juliet (Travis) Blevins of Louisville, CO and Amy (Matt) Brunette of Royal Oak; son, Aaron (Jalyn Jonatas) Knirk of Marshall; grandchildren, Andrew, Nick, Nathan and Katie Brunette, Maren and Joshua Blevins and Jaden Jonatas.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Gary Lee Knirk will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Rev. Anne Schnarre officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
