COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Kristen Lyon-Welch is the newest member of the Coldwater Community School’s Board of Education.
She was selected for the position by the full board last night. Lyon-Welch and Gretchen Ennis were interviewed by school board members during a special meeting June 30. She will serve out Nick Krzeminski’s term on the board, which runs through December 31, 2022.
Krzeminski stepped down last month after serving on the Coldwater school board since 2011.
The seat will re-open for the November 2022 election, at which time, the seat will be for a six year term.
Krzeminski has also served as the Board Vice President in recent years so previous Treasurer Jeff Holbrook was named Vice President, with Steve Rutz named the boards new Treasurer.
The next regular meeting for the Board of Education will be Monday, July 26 at 6:00 p.m.
