QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council voted 4-2 in favor of an application on Tuesday night for a proposed medical marijuana and recreational adult use provisioning center at 1085 East Chicago.
The business on Quincy’s far east side would be the third marijuana operation in the village.
It would be operated by MBD Ventures LLC and owner Brandon Dusevic of Rochester says they plan to call the business “High Standards.”
He said they chose Quincy for the proposed business because it’s a border line community to multiple states and it’s in the middle of Michigan.
Attorney Michael Stine said it would be their desire to hire all of their employees from the village. Dusevic added they want to use local contractors to build the one story facility.
The application approval by the Village Council is part of the process before Dusevic can open for business.
