Roy Louis Traskos, 90 of Coldwater passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at ProMedica Regional Hospital of Coldwater.
In following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Matteson Cemetery at a later date.
Roy was born January 20, 1931 to Stanley and Blanch (Cooper) Traskos in Wayne, MI. After graduation from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Upon leaving the service, Roy began a life-long career as a carpenter. He had also worked as a project supervisor at Thompson Phelan for 25 years as well as 9 years at Southern Michigan National Bank.
On October 13, 1956 he married the love of his life, Patricia Bills in Angola, IN and she survives.
Roy had an appreciation for both streetrods as well as antique cars; he was also particularly fond of windmills spending much of his time restoring many of them. One of the windmills Roy had restored stands on display at the windmill museum in Kendallville, IN. He had an interest for unique lamps that he would go antiquing for but above all he was all about his family, always putting their needs above his own.
Mr. Traskos is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Traskos of Coldwater; his children Jeffrey (Becky) Traskos of Coldwater and Jennifer (Brian) Case of Bronson; his sister Janice Bonner of Saline, MI; his seven grandchildren Chris (Leanne) Traskos, Kati (Joey) Wright, Kyli Traskos, Cheyenne (Matt) Miller, Cody (Jennifer) Kosmerick, Brianna (Drew) Kibiloski, Lindsey (Salina) Case, his eleven great grandchildren Carter and Chase Traskos, Madison, JJ, and Jefferson Wright, Braelyn and Harper Miller, Quentin, Madilynn and Leo Kosmerick, Remington Case; and many loving nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Greg Traskos.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
