Caryl May Pridgeon, 84, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater. She was born May 1, 1937 in Detroit to Robert and Anna (Lukas) Chapman. She married Stan Pridgeon and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Caryl graduated from Schoolcraft High School. She was the owner and operator of Cara Jude’s Clothing in Quincy. She also worked for Bollegrafs Clothing, Hawkins Produce, and lastly, at Farm and Fleet. Caryl loved knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed reading, walking, biking, traveling and was an avid baker.
Survivors include six children, David (Cindy) Forsyth, Susan (Loren) Doty, Cindy (Starr) Mowrey, Terry (Krisha) Forsyth, Linda (Bob) Albright and Beth Forsyth; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Haas, Deborah (Claude) Nance and Robert (Judee) Chapman; and former husband, Ralph Forsyth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan and grandchildren, Cayla Bowerman, Sammy Forsyth and Colin Albright.
Visitation for Caryl Pridgeon will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
