ATHENS TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan State Police are investigating a “brake checked” hit and run crash involving a pair of vehicles in Calhoun County’s Athens Township on Tuesday night.
Troopers say it happened on M-66 near 3 ½ Mile Road at about 10:40 p.m. as both vehicles were travelling north.
State Police report a black Mitsubishi passenger car aggressively braked, causing a white pickup truck to rear end the passenger car.
The black Mitsubishi passenger car did not stop and continued north on M-66. It’s believed to have minor to excessive damage to the rear driver side of the vehicle.
