MATTESON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) ¬ A modular home fire at 781 West Colon Road in Matteson Township which broke out at 5:46 p.m. Monday was quickly put out by Bronson firefighters.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says crews found moderate smoke when they arrived.
Firefighters got into the home and quickly extinguished the fire which started in the kitchen.
Wilber says the fire caused extensive smoke damage throughout the house. Damages are estimated at $12,500. Fire crews were on scene for less than an hour.
