CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – St. Joseph County Administrator Teresa Doehring is asking county residents to report property damage as the result of the severe weather on August 11 and 12, 2021.
Residents with property damage can fill out an on line survey as county officials are looking to find resources to help people out.
St. Joseph County declared a local state of emergency last Saturday.
Many areas experienced widespread and severe damage.
There was also substantial damage to critical infrastructure utility systems and considerable hazardous debris impacting emergency response on state and local roads.
The emergency declaration was the first step in the possibility of gaining additional resources if available and warranted.
