COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As the process for putting together Branch County’s 2021 budget is getting underway, requests have been submitted to review the Undersheriff, Jail Administrator and Animal Control Director positions for reclassification.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman said during Tuesday’s Board of Commissioners work session that the requests from the Sheriff’s Department would be reviewed after September 30th which is the deadline to submit reclassification requests for consideration.
The reclassification committee is made up of the Personnel Chair, the Personnel Vice-chair and the Administrator.
Norman also said they have been approached about wage adjustments and range allocation.
Norman said he has had some informal talks with some department heads and elected officials regarding employee wages and wage ranges for new hires. He indicated he is working on getting information for a wage study to see where Branch County falls in line with other counties.
