COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of the many road and street construction projects that has taken place in the City of Coldwater this summer has wrapped up just in time for the start of the school year on Monday.
The paving project on Western Avenue and State Street concluded this week and the street has been reopened. Western and State had been shut down between Grand and Bishop since the first week of July.
Meanwhile, City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that paving on Sauk River Drive is scheduled to take place this week.
Work at the Four Corners Park in downtown Coldwater is continuing with brick paver installation and concrete work. It’s estimated the work will be completed by the middle of October.
The City Council is scheduled to pass a resolution Monday which would formally convert North Hanchett Street between U.S. 12 and Harrison back to a two way street. Drivers are asked to use caution and observe traffic signs and markings until the conversion is complete.
