BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It’s going to be a steamy start to the school year especially in school buildings that do not have air conditioning.
Summer vacation maybe over but summer weather continues to linger as students head back to class this week.
High temperatures for the rest of this week are expected to be in the upper 80s.
Heat index readings are expected to rise as the humidity levels will be going up.
The heat index is expected to be between 92 and 97 on Tuesday and between 93 and 98 on Wednesday.
There is no cool down in the foreseeable future as the extended forecast is calling for highs to remain in the upper 80s through the weekend.
