Sarah (Sally) Fulton Nettleman, 97, passed away Sunday, August 22 2021.
A service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Coldwater on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Sarah was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 12, 1923 to Helen & Harris T. Fulton. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from The University of Toledo in 1945 and then taught for 5 years in Oregon, Ohio at Clay High School.
In 1950, Sarah received her Master’s Degree in Mathematical Education from the University of Michigan and then taught in Hillsdale, Michigan at Hillsdale High School.
In 1953, she met and married William Edward Nettleman, M.D. of Coldwater. They were married for 62 years before he passed away.
She served as a Director of Century Bank & Trust and also served two terms as an Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Coldwater, MI.
Sarah is survived by their four children: Robert Harris (Kathryn) Nettleman, M.D. of Frankenmuth, MI; Mary Dekker Nettleman, M.D. (Scott Maxwell) of Sioux Falls, SD; James Fulton (Cheryl) Nettleman of Lafayette, IN; and David Thompson Nettleman of Plymouth, MI. She also leaves six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She loved living in Coldwater and had many friends there.
