COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners will start reviewing the five candidates that are left for the 911 Directors position this Friday afternoon.
A special two hour teleconference meeting has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman told the 911 Communications Board on Tuesday the position initially attracted 29 candidates before a screening committee reduced the field down to ten. The field was then trimmed to nine and eventually to five.
Background and reference checks have been done on the five candidates left and Norman feels they provide varied backgrounds.
The names of the candidates will remain confidential until the final interviews are conducted with the County Commissioners.
