COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to the potential for a high heat index, Thursday night’s Coldwater home varsity football game against Grand Ledge has been pushed back one hour.
The opening game of the 2021 season is now scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. instead of the original kickoff time of 7:00 p.m..
Coldwater was not able to use their turf field for football practice on Tuesday due to the heat index.
The high heat index also forced the cancellation of the Coldwater soccer matches on Tecumseh’s turf fields on Tuesday.
M.H.S.A.A. guidelines call for the stoppage of all outdoor practice and/play if the heat index gets above 104 degrees.
