COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity team recorded its second straight shutout, beating Otsego 5-0 at home Tuesday night.
Five different Cardinals scored. Amine Mohammed’s goal came just 33 seconds into game, assisted by Brayden Boyd. Coldwater would not score again until the second half, with Boyd scoring an unassisted goal with 37:21 to play in the game.
Naj Norman then scored on a penalty kick with 15:33 to play. Riyadh Muflihi scored with 13:04 to play off the rebound of a Zeman Norman shot. Mukhtar Abdulla wrapped up the scoring with a goal with 3:31 to play, assisted by Brady Arver.
Bauston Feldbauer made three saves in goal, as Coldwater outshot Otsego 24-4.
The Cardinals improve to 2-2-1 on the season, and will next host Plainwell Tuesday, September 7.
The Coldwater junior varsity team stayed undefeated on the season, beating Otsego 5-3. Laith and Ghaith Musa each had two goals, while Ezaldeen Ahmed had the other.
