KINDERHOOK, MI (WTVB) – One day after issuing a press release saying concrete repairs on I-69 near Kinderhook would start on Thursday, the Michigan Department of Transportation now says that due to contractor scheduling conflicts, the start date has been pushed back one week.
The work is now scheduled to start either on Thursday, September 23 or Friday, September. 24, 2021.
The work is still scheduled to be completed by September 30.
MDOT is investing $129,000 to repair the concrete on over five miles of northbound and southbound I-69 from the Michigan/Indiana state line to Pearl Road.
The interstate will remain open but drivers should be alert for single-lane closures.
