COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s that time of year. The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities will begin their semi-annual hydrant flushing on Monday. Crews will continue flushing the hydrants until this Friday, September 24th. The city says hydrant flushing ensures that water quality is maintained and tests the water pressure. During hydrant flushing, you may notice discoloration of your water. If this occurs slowly run cold water out of your faucet until the water becomes clear. Motorcyclists should exercise caution when approaching a fire hydrant, as the road may be wet. For more information, contact the CBPU at (517) 279-9531.
