QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – After being called the Quincy Main Street Festival for the last three years, the Quincy Village Council approved a request on Tuesday night to change the name of the late summer event back to Quincy Daze.
Village Manager Brittany Butler said the name change was discussed during a recent Council work shop.
The three day event in the Quincy Park is put on by the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Quincy.
Meanwhile, Pints in the Park will be held for the fifth time this Saturday.
Butler told the Village Council on Tuesday things are going smoothly for the most part but a few vendors pulled out because they double booked with county fairs.
She said over 300 persons have already bought their cups which is the largest number they have had since Pints in the Park started in 2016.
Pints in the Park is Branch County’s only beer and wine festival.
It promotes Michigan wineries and breweries, the Quincy community and helps to raise money to support the development of a five-mile recreational trail.
