COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman announced on Thursday that Robert “Bob” Swick has accepted the position of being the county’s new 911 Director.
Swick previously worked with Henry Ford Allegiance Health, the Michigan Department of Corrections, the Bronson Police Department and the Coldwater Police Department.
He will start his new position as the 911 Director on October 11, 2021.
Swick was among five finalists who were interviewed by the Branch County Board of Commissioners on August 27.
A total of 29 candidates submitted applications for the position.
Long time Branch County 9-1-1 Director Kurt Spalding retired nearly a year ago after serving Branch County for over 35 years.
Assistant 911 Director Jean Ratkowski has served as the interim director since that time.
