UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The lack of officials has forced a change in the Union City football schedule for next week.
The varsity home game with Addison that was originally scheduled for Friday, October 1 has been moved to Thursday, September 30.
That was originally scheduled to be the Homecoming but school officials posted on the district’s Facebook page that based on overwhelming feedback through a student survey, Homecoming events and activities have been moved to the week of October 11.
The Homecoming football game will now place on October 15 when Union City plays host to Springport.
Senior night for the football team has also been moved to next Thursday night instead of on October 15 as originally scheduled.
