PITTSFORD, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson boys cross country team captured their third invitational title this season while Quincy’s Rhett Reif won the gold medal on Saturday at the Pittsford Invitational.
Reif’s winning time was 18:38.47.
Bronson had four runners finish in the top eight as they easily outdistanced Clinton 29-90 to claim the top spot.
Aden Hathaway was third in 18:48.71. Reagan Mayer was fifth, Tanner Norton was seventh, Brayden Ransbottom was eighth while David Garcia was 20th.
Quincy was fifth in the final boys team standings while Union City was sixth.
Besides Reif’s first place finish, Brady Harper was 18th for the Orioles. Jason Shoop was 13th for the Chargers while Maddox Miller was 16th and Malachi Payne was 28th.
Quincy was fourth in the girls meet. Bronson and Union City did not have runners for team scores.
Bronson’s Sidney Swick was fourth in a time of 23:28.2.
Sadie Miller was 12th for Quincy while Libby Butchart was 21st, Kailey Allman was 26th and Elise Wright was 27th.
Union City’s top finisher was Skyler Fraley who was 14th. Kyla Burdick was 19th.
