UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Barb Wallen, Stephen Searls and Don Keller were chosen by local residents as the winners of the 2021 Union City Citizens of the Year Award .
The announcement of the 2021 winners was made on Saturday during the village’s Farm to Fork event.
The Union City Chamber of Commerce puts on the award which is chosen in a vote of village residents that ended on September 14.
The winners every year are residents who voluntarily contribute to making the Union City community a better one.
A resident can only hold the honor once.
The Citizens of the Year tradition in Union City goes back to 1980.
