OTSEGO, MI (WYVB) – The Bronson boys cross country team continues to add hardware to the trophy case.
The Vikings won the Division Three championship at the Otsego Bulldog Invitational on Saturday by two points. It was their fourth cross country meet championship in 2021.
Three Bronson runners finished in the top ten as Ashton Wells was third in a time of 17:37.3, Reagan Mayer was fifth and Aden Hathaway was eighth.
The Quincy boys were fourth in Division Three. The Orioles were led by Rhett Reif who finished second with a time of 16:38.8 and by Brady Harper as he finished tenth.
The Quincy girls finished fourth in Division Three. Bronson did not have enough runners for a team score.
Bronson’s Sidney Swick was seventh with a time of 22:17.7. Quincy had three runners in the top 20. Charlotte Crabbs was eighth with a time of 22:22.5, Sadie Miller was 14th and Libby Butchart was 17th.
In stiff Division Two competition, the Coldwater boy’s team finished 17th in the 25 team field while the Coldwater girls placed 21st. Only senior John Aerts ran well enough to medal for the Cardinals as he placed 24th with his season-best time of 16:46.8.
