COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Medicare Part D Open Enrollment takes place from October 15 through December 7 and the Branch County Commission on Aging will once again have counselors available at the Burnside Center to help Branch County seniors review their Part D options.
Debbie Ambrose, Mediacare Medicade Assistance Program coordinator at the Burnside Center in Coldwater, said, “It’s important to review your coverage annually, even if you’re happy with your current plan. Costs and coverage of the plans change from year to year so there may be options of better value.”
The MMAP is comprised of counselors who are trained with the most up-to-date information on Part D prescription plans, as well as other programs and benefits related to Medicare and Medicaid.
Counselors are not affiliated with any insurance companies and cannot sell anything.
This is a free and unbiased service available to all Branch County seniors.
The office has begun to schedule Open Enrollment in-person and phone appointments. To schedule an appointment for your prescription plan review, call the Burnside Center at 279-6565 extension 29.
